People talk

People talk - to themselves, others, to friends, relatives, parents, spouses, strangers, GOD, mother nature, trees, animals, pets, plants, idols, gurus, therapists, mentors..... and the list goes on

but how many times do we listen to all of the above?

I guess if we do more of listening and less of talking, this place around us will be so much more quiet, peaceful and happy. The problem is we all love talking and we hate listening not only to others but even to ourselves.

To be the change - from now on I'm listening (trying)

Seriously....

for a start to myself

Cut Flowers or Bonsai?

Save trees, save paper, save animals, save the earth, save the children, save energy.....
if all of these and many other similar crusades bring about all the change that they set out to do then probably we will end up living in forests and foraging for food just like Tarzan. Not that I don't like the idea but is it really possible to save everything from everyone?

Recently I was planning for a conference with a client and we got to discussing the part where they give out bouquets to all the dignitaries on dais. I said that another of our clients in a recent conference had asked us to procure nice Bonsai plants instead of bouquets because they thought cut flowers is not a very nice thing to do to plants. To this the current client said how is Bonsai more benevolent to plants than cut flowers. In fact Bonsai is probably the most cruel treatment meted out to plants. No bouquets, No Bonsai so we decided to arrange for nice potted plants to be given out. I wonder when and from where the next counterpoint will come?
